ASOC exam second batch- 2018

Folks,

If you wish to appear for the ASOC exam in 2018, We are here to help you in getting your Amateur Station Operator’s license. You just have to prepare your application forms and send to us right now. We will close the entries to the new batch once we get 50 applications or on September 30,2018 or whichever is earlier. Classes will be started once a batch is formed.

How to submit your application?

1) Create a login in our website click here for login
2) Got to the application form generator in our website at, read the instructions ASOC application form generator
3) Type in your details, and generate your form, download the pdf file
4) Get the nationality certificate in the form signed by a gazetted officer of state/central government
5) Add two photos and a copy of DOB proof,which contain your Name, Father’s name and also your date of birth (attested by gazetted officer)
6) Post/courier to the address in the last page of the downloaded form.
Note: Fees(all inclusive) is ₹750 and for students up to plus two level is ₹400,candidates reappearing the exam will have to pay ₹200. Fees will be collected after verifying your form, you will receive an email asking for that.

Candidates staying in Tamilnadu alone is requested to apply. 

FAQ:

I don’t have the patience to read all, can I call someone of you and ask about the procedures?

If you don’t have the patience to read and understand,better you switch to some other hobby. amateur radio is not for you for sure.

When will be the exam and the classes and where it will be?

There is no specific schedule for ASOC exam by the WPC, GOI. Exam will be conducted by WPC a couple of months after we submit the forms. We don’t have any control on exam date or any-other matters after your application at WPC. There wont be any regular classes normally.

Exam centre : WPC office, Perungudi, Chennai.
Date of exam : In two months after submission of forms
Classes : At Chennai, venue yet to be decided

Do I need to send a hardcopy of the application?

Yes, you have to. incomplete applications will be rejected.

How do I know whether you have recieved my hard copy of application?

Once we receive your application form, it will be updated here, check the link to see whether we received your application or not.

How can i get the updates about the exam and also your activities?

Most of our activities will be listed here in this website.Exam/classes updates will be mailed once you are in the batch. We do also have a whatsapp group where we update about the exam, and our other activities. This group is also a platform for exchanging ideas, queries and meeting fellow friends. Only those who use whatsapp as a messaging/communication platform may ask us to add you there. It’s a zero spam group!

I have a question, for which I couldn’t find an answer in this site, how can I contact anyone from the club?, contact numbers?

Use the contact form for any other queries which is not addressed in this website. We all have full time job and prefer not to be contacted through phone, Use the contact form for specific queries/help, you will surely get a reply!
